Auction is the most transparent way to sell property, all bids are public, and this provides reassurance to both the buyer and seller that true market value has been achieved.
It also means all buyers are “cash” and not restricted by terms that may cause a deal to fall over.
Also the Auction process produces competition that can cause buyers to pay in excess of “worth”
Selling your home at an Auction Event, means potentially your property will be subjected to more views from buyers who are interested in other properties in the Event.
Ultimately, more eyes on your home, means more competition which usually translates into a higher than normal price being achieved.
You will set a reserve price, this is the price that you are happy to sell your home at.
This price can change during the course of the Auction, and you have the right, through the Auctioneer to withdraw your home from sale at any point of the Auction.
We work through a budget that suits you.
A typical budget to take your home to Auction is $3,000- $5,000, which includes your Auctioneers fee.
Together with your Agent, we will set up a campaign designed to provide maximum exposure for your property to the Marketplace, typically this would include things like:
- Signage
- Photos/Video
- Online Media (TradeMe/ One Roof)
- Print Media (Herald/ Flyers etc)
- Social Media
- Auctioneer
It may also include things such as, Staging and Maintenance if required.
The Marketing fee is paid in advance of the Marketing being ordered (unless otherwise arranged)
You can pay via:
- Bank Transfer
- Credit Card
We also have a relationship with providers who can advance the money for you and then you can pay them back upon the sale of your home, just ask your Agent to provide these details.
Currently the Industry average in NZ has a 90 day success rate via Auction of circa 70%, this compares to the other forms, such as Private Treaty/ Tender etc of circa 20%
With average days on Market being circa 30 for Auction vs 50 for other forms.
